We are seeking a highly motivated and customer engaging hospitality guru to join Southside Restaurant as a Restaurant Manager. Our buzzing multi level venue is located in a jungle oasis, nestled underneath the monolithic train bridges of South Brisbane off Fish Lane. In addition to a beautiful setting and fantastic company culture we can also offer a 4 day working week for this role.
The Restaurant Manager plays a vital role in creating a positive and memorable experience for guests, and maintaining the excellent reputation and ongoing success of our venue. You will be the bridge between guests and the organisation, ensuring that all interactions are handled with professionalism, care, and a focus on exceeding expectations.

Responsibilities:
- Managing and motivating front of house team to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
- Onboard staff
- Staff appraisals
- Delivering motivating and engaging daily briefs
- Experience working to financial goals of the business- Scheduling, inventory and expense control
- Manage stock levels for FOH and working with the Venue Manager to ensure stock is kept at appropriate levels
- Order stock as required
- Ability to train and backfill all FOH positions including Bar to assist in the smooth operating of the venue.
- Managing VIP guests
- Handling customer complaints and ensuring they are resolved to their satisfaction.
- Opening and closing of the venue
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
- Conducting regular training sessions with staff to ensure they are equipped with the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles.
- Creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for customers, ensuring they have an enjoyable dining experience.
- Encouraging staff to build rapport with guests, anticipate their needs, and provide personalised experiences.
- Opening and closing duties including sale reports
Requirements:
- Experience in Fine Dining
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a restaurant management role
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field for example
- Food Safety Certificate
- Must be available to close 4 nights a week
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- Strong leadership and team management skills
