Saigon Palace Cafe is a cosy café restaurant that serves authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The extensive menu offering includes a wide variety of meals including traditional beef soup, rice paper rolls, fresh salads, stir-fried dishes among others.
We are currently looking for a Restaurant Manager to join our team at the brand new venue, Alexandra Headlands
The Role
You will be tasked with leading and managing the various staff as well as the overall operations of the restaurant. This is a full time role with an annual salary.
The Responsibilities
Your tasks at the restaurant will consist of:
Estimating food consumption, placing orders, and scheduling deliveries of ingredients as required, and checking the quality of the received goods
Resolving customer issues
Advising customers on menu and organise table reservations and events
Preparing and monitor budget report on food and sales and employee records
Monitoring inventory, track staff schedules and pay, and maintain records
Meeting with sales representatives to order supplies when required
Arranging for maintenance and repair of equipment and other services
Total receipts and balance against sales, deposit receipts, and lock facility at end of day
Selecting or creating successful menu items based on many considerations, and assign process based on cost analysis
Recruiting, hiring and overseeing training for staff
Ensuring cleaning of kitchen and dining areas to maintain sanitation standards
Running day to day shifts, train staff and resolve staff issues
Stocktaking
Responsible for WPHS standards
The Requirements:
To be considered for the position you must meet the following requirements:
Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Restaurant Manager within an operation of a similar profile is essential, RSA and Restaurant Manager accreditation from VETASSESS
Have a strongly skill of making Vietnamese bread rolls, Rice Paper Rolls, Spring Rolls, Dimsim, Wonton to assist staff during rush hour.
Have a strongly knowledge background of Vietnamese Cuisine including ingredients such as herbs and seasoning in order to prevent allergic issues.
Relevant or equivalent qualifications in hospitality management
Demonstrated and verifiable prior experience
Excellent people and time management skills - ability to work with international staff
Excellence in delivering quality customer service and customer satisfaction ratings including brand standards
Willingness to work on weekends
Seeking a long term, full time role
Able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Ability to balance high volume periods and peak service times
Thrive under pressure while delivering excellent leadership and service
