Full time, Annual Salary $70,000 + Superannuation

Chatkazz is an Australian based Indian restaurant renowned for delivering only the highest quality Indian cuisine. With over 200 dishes on the menu taking inspiration from the North and South of India, each visit to CHATKAZZ Canberra will bring back memories of home. Expect fragrant dishes packed with flavour, many which can rarely be found outside of India. Due to business expansion, we are seeking an experienced Chef to join our friendly team

This excellent opportunity will be offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis at 38 hours a week.

 Suitably qualified and skills assessed with an experience of at least 2 years working in fine dining Restaurant and able to manage the restaurant independently

 Excellent knowledge of food hygiene procedures and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Excellent communication and organisation skills

 Ability to respond the complaints and adjust to demand in workplace Work cooperatively with staff and customers

Responsibilities include:

Planning and organising events, parties and functions

Managing stock levels, recording financial transaction and depositing cash and cheque's

Developing menus in collaboration with chefs in order to meet financial goals

Ensuring dinning facilities comply with health regulations and monitor the activities of staff and guests to ensure health and safety standards are obeyed

 Seeking feedback from guests in order to identify and rectify shortfalls on food quality and service

 Hiring, supervising and training staff to success

 Planning menus with Chefs, planning and organising special functions

 Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions

 Ensuring dining facilities are clean, functional and of suitable appearance

 Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service

 Selecting, training and supervising waiting staff may take reservations, greet guests and assist in taking orders
