The Sushi Hub Bateau Bay is a restaurant located at Bateau Bay Square, it is serving up greatfresh, top-quality Japanese cuisine and sushi. We have expanded our businesssince mid this year, to further provide more sitting and tables for offering adelicious menu to our customer, including Sashimi, Udon and Bento for lunch anddinner.
We are seeking a Restaurant Manager forour restaurant. The position is a full-time based role, predominantly daytime hours,and a salary package from $70,000 plus Super. To apply for this position, youneed to have at least 2 years experience, being able to work as a part of team,have management skills and knowledge.
Tasks & Responsibilities
· Leadership and Management
- Recruiting,training, supervising, and promoting staff, including conducting performancereviews and identifying talent for upskilling.
- Overseeingthe restaurant management team, providing high-level management support to theowner in overseeing the other 8 branches, ensuring adherence to internalpolicies and procedures in both front and back-of-house.
- Implementingpromotions and events as directed by the head office.
· Day-to-Day Tasks and Core Responsibilities
- Collaboratingwith designers and the head office to create new dishes and plan menus.
- Managingdaily front- and back-of-house restaurant operations while upholding safety andfood quality standards.
- Supervisinginventory and overseeing accounts payable and receivable systems, controllingoperational costs, and devising strategies to minimize waste. Developingcreative solutions to address challenges.
- Leadingadvertising and marketing efforts, devising new campaigns to attract customers,and consistently expanding the client base.
- Engagingwith customers, gathering feedback to enhance customer satisfaction, andaddressing customer complaints.
- Providingexcellent customer service, includes providing breakfast, lunch and dinner service,and taking orders.
- Designingnew season menus with Chef and owner.
- Restaurantadministration, including daily reports, banking and cash handling.
- Managingand make sure the workplace complies with health and safety regulations.
- Assistingin marketing, promotion and advertising strategies and campaigns.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role,candidates should be eager to contribute to and lead a successful team. Apositive and enthusiastic approach to customer service, goal-oriented mindset,high motivation, organizational prowess, attention to detail, and excellentcommunication skills are essential.
A minimum of 2 years' experience inrestaurant management is required. While experience in Japanese Cuisine isadvantageous, it is not mandatory. Fluency in English is crucial due to theemphasis on Front of House duties, and proficiency in other languages such asMandarin and Japanese is considered beneficial.
