Restaurant Manager

Spicy Affair, located at Kenmore, is a unique Indian restaurant offering dine in and take away services.

We are currently looking for an experienced Full-time Restaurant Manager to join our professional team.

This role will require a highly autonomous applicant with strong leadership skills, attention to detail attitude and minimum 5 years experience in the same role.

Applicants will need to demonstrate:-A positive and ambitious mind set-Self motivation and a passion for hospitality-Excellent communication and customer service skills-Excellent interpersonal skills-Experience in a previous high customer turnover restaurant-Management experience, including: beverages/wine, staff training, profit margins and operating costs.

Job purpose:Oversee and coordinate the running, planning, organising, training and leadership (relating to all restaurant From of the House) necessary to achieve objectives in sales, costs, guest service and satisfaction.

Some of your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):-Responsible for day to day restaurant operation-Responsible for maintaining high level of customer service and satisfaction-Effectively delegate jobs and responsibilities to restaurant staff-Communicate with management across the company to ensure effective running of the business as well as customer satisfaction-Work with management personnel to set targets and incentives to increase turnover and profitability of restaurant-Review and monitor, with bookkeeper or other financial personnel, expenditures to ensure that they conform to budget limitations, work to improve performance-Supervise operation of restaurant to maximise profitability, minimise legal liability, and conform to alcoholic beverage regulations-Plan wine and drinks lists suited to the restaurant and its clientele. Monitor the purchasing of supplies and perform frequent checks to ensure consistent high quality of preparation and service.-Work with management personnel to plan and organise restaurant events-Planning menus and stocktake-Maintain/supervise health regulations and training kitchen/waiting staff

An AQF Certificate in Business Management would be a significant advantage. You will be a self motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills who is outgoing with a strong customer service.

The ability to work as apart of a team and demonstrate enthusiasm to strive to high standards and positive results is mandatory.
