About the role
Working in a fun and lively environment, The Restaurant/Venue Manager is responsible for the effective and profitable running of the Bar/Restaurant and staffing operation. They manage and control all operational aspects of the venue within the required standards, agreed budgetary limits and parameters. They are the face of the restaurant and leads by example by creating surprising and memorable experiences for our guests, in delivering quality food and beverage offerings across the venue.
Responsibilities include;
- work with the Outlet Operations Manager, Bar and Kitchen Team in achieving budgeted costs of sales for F&B and payroll results on a weekly basis
- responsible for the running of the venue in its entirety, inclusive of leading shifts and overall outlet presentation
- delegating responsibilities to supervisors, barista, and staff to ensure objectives are met and excellent service is consistently achieved
- actively implement methods to drive revenue, and exceed budgeted expectations
- champion the standards of health regulations in line with ACT Food & Safety guidelines
- work with the Outlets Operations Manager to achieve successful promotions, such as Mother’s Day, Melbourne Cup, Christmas Day and ad-hoc monthly events
- schedule and conduct monthly trainings to maintain a consistent and high level of service
- Manage operations with passion, integrity, and knowledge while promoting the culture and values of Doma Hotels
What you will bring
At Doma Hotels, we constantly strive to find exceptional individuals who contribute to our team’s success Your natural flare exudes passion and ambition. A guest service expert, with a keen eye for detail. Naturally, your previous years as a Manager will come highly regarded. As will the following:
- experience in Managing staff and or operations in Restaurant, Bar and Café environment with skills at a level adequate to train their staff
- understanding of financial impacts of the restaurant, cost of sales, payroll costs, rostering, forecasting, and financial results.
- advanced time management skills and ability to managing other competing priorities
- leadership and mentoring capabilities to continue on building on our inclusive and supportive team
- current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
- excellent personal presentation and presence
- willingness and ability to exceed expectations
- passion for food, and beverage in a hospitality environment
