The Initial Response team are looking for enthusiastic employees willing to join our team in North Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast to fill a Restoration Technician role. The role will require travel to other locations.
You may currently be working as a Restoration Technician or work in another trade and are looking for something new to keep you energised.
Initial Response provides professional restoration services primarily to the insurance industry 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Your responsibilities in this role will include but are not limited to:
- Perform emergency “make safe” works to mitigate further damage on initial attendance at site where required
- Responding to water and mould damage emergencies to both commercial and residential
- Water extraction
- Mould remediation / structural drying
- Usage of specialised restoration equipment
- WHS standards related to industry
- Heavy lifting
- Willingness and ability to travel locally and interstate as required
What are we looking for:
- Background in building and contents restoration and/or background in cleaning/ carpet cleaning preferred but not essential
- Experience as a Restoration Technician preferred however training will be provided
- Willing to travel for work
- Respond to after hours and weekend work
- IICRC Accreditations highly regarded
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work autonomously with little supervision
- Proven time-management skills
- Ability to remain calm and work well under pressure
- C Class Drivers Licence (Minimum)

- Phone and Tablet
- Restoration equipment to complete works
A National Police Check is a mandatory requirement of the recruitment process.
