About the role
This role manages the operational delivery of clinical services for a multidisciplinary team of Mental Health professionals providing case management, assessment and treatment to older consumers with a mental illness within both community and inpatient settings. The role requires the ability to apply well developed clinical knowledge and skills to contribute to the strategic direction and development of the service and also provide authoritative counsel to stakeholders.
About you
In terms of technical knowledge, skills, and experience and within the context of the responsibilities described above under Key Accountabilities, the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated well-developed clinical knowledge and skills in community Mental Health services including knowledge of recovery-oriented practice to ensure high quality and safe standards of clinical practice.
- Demonstrated leadership with contemporary human resource knowledge and skills in leading and managing a multidisciplinary Mental Health Team.
- Demonstrated team and service development skills with an emphasis on integrated service provision including continuous quality improvement, service delivery planning, research, and collaborative partnerships.
- Demonstrated high level communication, team participation skills including the ability to influence a range of stakeholders to promote positive workplace culture and improve access to Mental Health services.
