Our client, Jeshani Brothers Pty Ltd t/a Metro Petroleum West Wallsend, operates a fuel and convenience store in West Wallsend, NSW and is focused on providing Australians, quality fuels at competitive prices whilst exceeding customers' expectations with exceptional service.The client is looking for highly motivated full time Retail Manager who has a passion for retail, a love of customers and a drive to deliver results to join the team in business.You will be responsible for complete management of the store with a focus on customer service, operational efficiency, cost control and growth and help drive the seamless execution and delivery of key business imperatives through the retail network.The managerial and administrative aspect of your role will encompass determining product mix, stock levels and service standards, selling goods, maintaining records of stock, financial transactions and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.Minimum Requirements:
AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in the relevant field
3+ years' experience in a similar roleIn this role your main responsibilities include:
- Formulate and implement purchasing and marketing policies, and setting prices
- Create and deliver daily plans and strategies to ensure store & individual budgets/targets are achieved
- Maintain excellent store standards, including cleanliness and functionality of store machines/equipment and merchandising
- Daily management of stock to minimise out of stocks, stock loss and maximise sales
- Independently deal with all store and fuel related enquiries
- Manage, support and develop your team to drive performance
- Manage and prepare budget reports, rosters, stock take and ordering
- Deal with queries, complaints and feedback from customers
- Analyze sales figures and forecast future sales
- Maintain awareness of market trends and monitor competitors
- Maintain records of financial transactions
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
- Ensure a safe working environment - following all policies and procedures
- Determine special promotions, stock levels and service standards as per the standards set and policy established.
- Maintaining awareness of pricing of local competitors
- Conduct people safety and product safety audits
