Strange Grains Bakery is a certified Gluten Free Bakery. We also avoid manyof the usual allergens to enable us to provide bread and patisserie that mostof the population can eat.
We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee the efficient operationof our retail section.
The successful candidate must have a sound understanding of Coeliac diseaseand of “gluten free” and of all the grains that can or cannot be found in agluten free diet. Customers will ask many questions relating to Gluten Free productsand diet.
You will be responsible for managing various aspects of retail operations,with a focus on ordering, stock management, production administration, teamsupervision and education, and ensuring high-quality customer service.
You will be:
· Maintaining daily financial records.
· Co-ordinating with the bakers / pastry chefs to maintain daily stockdisplay levels and to fill orders.
· Managing production schedules and budgets in collaboration with thebusiness management and bakery team.
· Leading, training and supervising a dedicated retail bakery team.
· Creating efficient team member rosters to ensure proper staffing levels.
· Providing ongoing training and development opportunities.
· Interviewing and selecting suitable staff when necessary.
· Guaranteeing the production of high-quality bakery products.
· Upholding and enhancing customer service standards.
· Implementing strategies for increasing customer satisfaction.
· Ensuring strict adherence to food safety and occupational health and safetystandards.
· Maintaining a close relationship with business management.
The successful candidate will have:
· At least 3 years of retail management experience, preferably in a glutenfree bakery or gluten free food-related industry.
· Qualifications in business, hospitality, or a related field.
· An extensive knowledge of Gluten Free foods, and of all the otherallergens with food.
· Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficient in inventory management, budgeting, and production scheduling.
· Leadership qualities with a focus on team development.
· An absolute knowledge of the latest food safety and occupational healthand safety standards.
