We are a dynamic family-owned company operating independent supermarkets in the Central West areas of New South Wales. With a focus on fresh food, our vision is to deliver an exceptional shopping experience for our customers through quality produce, everyday lower prices and by supporting local growers and businesses. We are now seeking motivated and passionate Retail Supervisor to help run our department teams in our Forbes, Bathurst, Blayney & West Wyalong stores.
About the Role:
This full-time position of Retail Supervisor requires a highly organised and capable individual who is responsible for the everyday supervision and coordination of our retail employees. Ensuring the highest quality shopping experience by delivering a high standard of product, whilst engaging effectively with customers to maximise sales and profit through effective planning, merchandising and inventory control.
Attention to detail is essential and the successful candidate will have a key role to play in the success of our business, ensuring department appearance, customer service and operational functions are first class every day
Responsibilities:
- Outstanding customer service standards
- Overseeing salespeople, cashiers, shelf stockers, and other employees.
- Managing finances and preparing an annual budget.
- Keeping records of expenditure, sales figures, and employee performance.
- Evaluating the supply and availability of stocks, and profit-margins.
- Implementing measures to avoid stock damages, theft, and wastage.
- Monitoring shelf stocks and product displays, and the general appearance of the store.
- Investigating market trends and offering products that would appeal to customers.
- Addressing customers' requests, comments, and complaints.
- Motivating employees to achieve targets.
- Training new staff members and scheduling shifts.
What we need from you:
- Previous supermarket/retail supervision experience
- (2 years experience as a Retail Supervisor is required to Qualify for Visa pathways for Forbes & Wyalong stores only)
- Customer service focused
- Ability to engage, mentor and lead a team
- Understanding of supermarket best practice including P&L management, inventory & merchandising
- Excellent communication skills
- (2 years proof is required to qualify for visa pathway for Forbes & Wyalong stores only)
