We are looking for a Full-Time and Part-time Supervisor to join the OK GIFT SHOP family. As the supervisor you will be responsible motivating staff so as to maximise sales while promoting an encouraging a strong team spirit amongst staff. You will have a focus on the Sales and profit performance of the store, while looking for opportunities to further grow our business and maximise sales.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Manage team members to maximise sales and profit performance
· Responsible for the recruitment and selection of great talent into the team
· Train new employees and provide ongoing training for all staff
· Motivate the team to achieve monthly targets and while taking pride in their work and the maintaining the stores high standards.
· Ensure products are priced and displayed correctly and in good condition for sale.
· Answer inquiries and complaints from customers and provide timely solutions.
· Understand and identify customer's needs, clarify information and provide solutions
· Implement measures to prevent damage, theft and loss of inventory
· Ensure a safe work environment while always adhering to company practices & compliance measures.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge
· At least one year of retail or similar industry experience as supervisor or higher position in a complex, high-volume or high-profile specialty environment preferred
· be confident and comfortable in making autonomous decisions when required
· be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels of the business
· Proven track record of success, including a demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, management and co-workers.
· Flexible working availability, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
· Be able to speak both English and Japanese fluently
· Computer skills – Microsoft Word, Excel
