About the Role
The Retirement Village Manager is a vital role and responsible for managing the Retirement Village and community centre to provide the highest standards of accommodation and services. They are responsible for the operational performance of the Retirement Village and community centre, ensuring that services are provided to the highest standards. The Retirement Village Manager will ensure staff deliver safe and quality services and are compliant with the retirement living accreditation standards. They are responsible for contributing to the strategic direction of the organisation and developing retirement living, and community centre, operational plans in conjunction with the General Manager of Community that support the strategic direction. The Retirement Village Manager will manage allocated budgets for the Retirement Village, and community centre, and monitor ongoing financial performance. They will ensure residents are provided with information and referrals to support active ageing in place. They will actively identify areas of improvement that will improve service delivery enhancing the life of our residents and clients.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing the delivery of Retirement Living and the Community Centre.
- Ensuring the retirement living standards are met on a continual basis and the standards are communicated and understood by the team.
- Establish and maintain the performance standards and measures for all services in the village and community centre.
- Leads village sales.
- Leads the teams and models excellent leadership behaviours.
- Ensure systems and processes are in place that maintain standards.
- Works in collaboration with the Assets team to ensure the Retirement Village is maintained to the highest standard.
- Liaises with the Quality, Safety & Risk team in regard to the delivery of training for the Village and Community Teams.
- Provides reports and information to the General Manager Community as required.
- Assists the General Manager in the Community Forecasting budgets and monitoring of budgets.
- Manages retirement living and community centre budgets to ensure financial viability.
- Actively identifies areas of improvement that will improve the lives and wellbeing of residents.
Things that matter to us
- At least 3 years Management experience
- Experience in the management of a Retirement Village.
- Experience in a sales environment.
- Experience of implementing operational plans that support the business strategy.
- Able to demonstrate knowledge about the Retirement Living Accreditation Standards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change.
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Full working rights in Australia
- National Police Clearance - Not less than 3 months old.
- Influenza vaccination
