We are now seeking a Village Manager to support our residents within our beautiful community of Affinity Village, Baldivis.
The role is suited to professional candidates who will thrive in an environment which enables daily engagement and interaction with residents and potential customers who have and will choose to start the next exciting chapter of their retirement within our beautiful community.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role either presents a great opportunity for someone to commence their career as a Retirement LivingVillage Manager, those that come with prior experience in Retirement Living or alternatively those with extensive hotel or hospitality management experience. Ultimately we are seeking candidates who exhibit an extensive understanding of community consultation, financial management, compliance and contractor management. Equally important will be a personal alignment with Arcadia’s core values of Respect & Dignity, Compassion, Integrity, Safety and Excellence.
In broader terms, the position responsibilities include:
- Operational management of the village, including financial, material, asset and human resources.
- Compliance with the Retirement Villages Act, Retirement Villages Code, Retirement Village Regulations and various WHS regulations.
- Manage and apply the operation financials and budgets to ensure effective management of the Village.
- Connects regularly with our residents and ensures regular communication and consultation.
- Actively orchestrates social engagement by promoting and facilitating resident activities, functions and events that enhances the residents lifestyle and enjoyment
- Works closely with our Sales Manager to initiate sales enquiries
- Coordinates the smooth transition of new residents into their homes and welcomes them into the Village Community
- Actively assists with ‘Open Day/Market Day’ programs and all sales and marketing events as required
- Plans and initiates facility maintenance and services, building improvements to ensure the ongoing professional presentation of the village.
Key selection criteria:
- Business qualification or relevant experience i.e. Diploma or Graduate in Hospitality, Health, Community Service or Human Resources is highly desirable
- Prior people and/or property management experience of at least 5 years
- Strong focus on results and customer satisfaction
- Strong understanding of financial management, budgets and cost allocations.
- Understanding of or an undertaking to obtain knowledge of the Retirement Villages and Aged Care Act
- Experience in working with complex stakeholder environments
- High level written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Understanding of management responsibilities under the WHS Act
- Police Clearance (valid within 90 days)
- First Aid Certificate
