We are looking for an experienced Return to Work Coordinator on an ongoing and part-time basis (3 days per week between Mon-Fri) who is ready to make this newly created role their own by looking for ways to maximise rehabilitation outcomes for our workers. 

Based at our head office in the heart of South Yarra, perfectly situated in close proximity to public transport, cafes, restaurants and shops, you will be joining a team of dynamic and forward thinking people. 

Reporting to the EGM - People & Culture, as the Return to Work Coordinator at Cirka, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitate a Return to Work to pre-injury duties by working with the injured worker, their representatives, the workers manager, relevant insurers, and others as appropriate to achieve positive RTW outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with managers and supervisors on all activities relating to RTW, rehabilitation initiatives, reasonable adjustments, injury prevention and safe Return to Work after a workplace injury has occurred and assist People & Culture team in non-work-related medical conditions.
  • Prepare regular reports, including analysis related to RTW management performance and provide advice and guidance to stakeholders to proactively create a safer workplace and/or work practices.
  • Ensure confidential information is collated, handled and stored such that this information is maintained to the highest levels of integrity throughout the rehabilitation process and drives positive outcomes, which is satisfactory to all parties. 
  • Develop, implement, and communicate organisational RTW policies and procedures.
  • Train and educate managers, supervisors and workers about injury management and Return to Work processes and their importance.
  • Identify improvement opportunities in WorkCover performance and effectively contributes to the achievement of the business strategic goals.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you can demonstrate that you have:

  • Certificate IV in Personal Injury Management / Return to Work Coordinator or working towards.
  • Demonstrable experience in a RTW role (including claims management) within service industry, such as Cleaning, Facilities Management, Security, Hospitality etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to persuade, negotiate and consult with stakeholders. 
  • Ability to effectively lead the coordination of workers compensation claims management processes and early intervention strategies. 
  • Ability to interpret and apply workers compensation legislative standards and guidelines as they apply to organisational claims management and rehabilitation initiatives.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to Work autonomously to achieve required outcomes within specified deadlines/time frames.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training relating to Return to Work and a skilled presenter.
  • An effective team player, with ability to adapt and change in a growing business environment and support others to achieve individual and business targets.
  • Excellent customer service skills and experienced in working with and resolving issues for employees at all levels within the business.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office suite and experience working with online document management and auditing systems.
