What We're Looking For: Return to Work & Wellness Advisor
The role involves coordinating early intervention programs, managing workers' compensation claims, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements, and guiding the management team in risk management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety, experience in managing early intervention strategies, and a strong knowledge of workers' compensation and occupational health and safety.
You will:
• Actively manage early intervention programs including on-site physiotherapy and on-site Health Assist.
• Actively manage insurance providers to ensure the effective and timely management of all workers compensation claims
• Ensure full compliance with legislative and award requirements
• Work closely with payroll to ensure workers compensation payments are correctly paid
• Coaching and collaborating with managers in hazard identification and risk assessment activities, along with conducting incident investigations to determine root cause, contributing factors and corrective actions
• Supporting health and safety consultative framework
About you:
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and a genuine interest in health and wellbeing
• Demonstrated experience in actively managing early intervention strategies and achieving sustainable Return to Work outcomes
• Strong working knowledge of workers compensation and best practise Return to Work strategies
• Demonstrated OHS experience in a similar industry
• Ability to provide coaching and training to managers as required
• Comprehensive working knowledge of OHS legislation, relevant codes of practice and Australian standards
• Ability to positively influence employees and managers by promoting a positive safety culture across all levels within the organisation.
