We're presently on the lookout for a proficient Rides Maintenance Manager with solid management skills, ideally from manufacturing or farming sectors, to lead and strengthen our Rides Engineering team. About your new role
As the Rides Maintenance Manager, you'll be instrumental in developing, implementing, and overseeing procedures and schedules for inspection, repair, and maintenance of all rides and attractions. You'll lead a team, drive strategic initiatives for downtime reduction, and ensure operational readiness while maintaining high guest service satisfaction. Your leadership will contribute to the achievement of departmental and company goals, ensuring world-class recognition in safety and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage routine preventative maintenance and associated expenses, including engaging contractors and conducting third-party inspections
- Lead strategic initiatives to reduce downtime and improve operational readiness, ensuring high guest service satisfaction
- Set strategic direction for the department, prioritising important and urgent tasks.
- Develop, implement, and monitor procedures for maintenance, checks, and repairs of rides and attractions.
- Plan and schedule routine work while minimising operational disruption during breakdowns.
- Oversee maintenance operations and ensure adequate spare parts inventory levels.
- Maintain the highest safety standards for guests and team members, achieving world-class recognition.
- Analyse equipment failures and recommend repair/re-design actions in collaboration with OEM and Technical Advisor.
- Ensure compliance with ride OEM requirements, company policies, and health and safety regulations.
- Utilise CMMS system to enhance maintenance practices and provide input for process improvement.
About you:
To be successful you should have:
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background.
- Minimum 3 years in a management position in a maintenance department.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the maintenance field.
- Amusement and theme park experience is beneficial.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
Additional qualifications required
- White card general construction induction card
- Current manual drivers licence

- Forklift Licence
- EWP Licence
