This is a great opportunity for an individual to use their knowledge of internal assurance / governance within the Business. Supporting the Policy Gatekeeper, you will be coordinating Policy activity, within the Chief Operating Office, e.g., Competition Law, Model Risk, Financial Crime Risk Assessment. You will also support the business with Policy Gatekeeping activity e.g., Embedding policy governance principles.
The difference you'll make
Provision of Policy assurance to the Divisional Head
Coordination of wider bank attestation/information requests across the Division against strict deadlines
Embedding the Policy Hierarchy Governance Standard within the Division, ensuring Policy renewal dates are met and stakeholders are educated.
Recommending and embedding new initiatives to enhance current processes
Supporting with the administration of the Santander UK Policy Register, Library and Mailbox
What you'll bring
Ability to engage with stakeholders, communicate effectively and build relationships across the business
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage a large and varied workload
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate knowledge and experience into recommendations
It would also be nice for you to
be Self-driven with the ability to work independently
have excellent Microsoft Office skills, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
speak up when you see something that can be done better with appropriate manners and in the right forums
have some experience in an assurance role
What else you need to know
This is a hybrid working role with an expectation to travel into the Milton Keynes office occasionally when required.
This is a permanent position.
