About the role:

This is a unique permanent opportunity for a Senior BA with experience in Risk and/or Compliance to support the Enterprise Risk & Compliance business project delivery.

There are several roles available covering various projects and work streams such as Operational Resilience, including Supplier Management, Business Continuity Management and Critical Operations as well as Control Automation and Privacy Law Reform. Previous experience working in these areas along with strong BA skills as well as experience in governance and org change would be highly advantageous.

You will have the opportunity to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group. The Chapter consists of around 200 like-minded analysts, where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing. You will support projects being delivered in a continuous delivery model (Agile) as well as initiatives using traditional project delivery models.

What you'll do:

  • Work closely with squad / project members, including but not limited to Delivery lead, Scrum Master, Developers, Tech Leads, and Business stakeholders to run workshops; identify, capture, plan, document and deliver business requirements
  • Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to validate business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs.
  • Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable. Support governance and change management activities alongside Project and Change Managers.
  • Suncorp offers a hybrid way of working where you will be expected to be in the office approx. 2 days per week.

What you'll bring:

  • ESSENTIAL: Minimum 4 years' Senior Business analysis experience within Risk and/or Compliance from a large organisation; experience in Business Continuity, Critical Operations, Supplier Management, Control Automation or Privacy Law Reform from a risk standpoint would be highly regarded
  • Risk Management: Understanding of risk assessment and mitigation techniques to ensure compliance with APRA CPS230 requirements and manage risks associated with supplier management and critical operation practices (advantageous)
  • Regulatory Compliance: Understanding of regulatory requirements, specifically APRA CPS230, and how they impact supplier management and critical operation practices (advantageous)
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage and collaborate with various stakeholders involved in supplier management across Suncorp Group
  • Requirements Gathering: Proficiency in eliciting, analysing, and documenting requirements related to supplier management processes including ongoing performance and Compliance with APRA CPS230.
  • Process Mapping: Skill in mapping current and future state business processes involved in supplier management to support any organisational change, identifying gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Change Management awareness: Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies to support the Change Manager to effectively plan and implement organisational changes related to supplier management.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyse data related to supplier performance, compliance, and risk to inform decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to convey complex ideas and requirements to diverse stakeholders and facilitate effective collaboration.
  • Continuous Improvement: Commitment to continuous learning and improvement to adapt to evolving regulatory requirements and best practices in supplier management, business continuity management and critical operations.
  • Behaviours: Committed to building subject matter expertise in Risk and Compliance project delivery, being a great team player who is adaptable, eager to learn, demonstrate strong problem solving skills and a growth mindset
