As the
Risk Oversight Analyst, you will provide assurance for the Chief Risk Officer that credit risk is managed within Suncorp Bank's risk appetite and frameworks across the business and/or home lending portfolios through independent reviews, identifying and recommending enhancements to the design and implementation of lending portfolio and product processes, systems, and risk controls. You will provide specialist advice, review and challenge to support the lending business grow. Your role will encompass integrating insights from key stakeholder interactions, data analysis, and assessment of emerging trends, both internal and external. .
What you'll do- Collaborates across and within First and Second Lines of Defence teams and build strong relationships with lending portfolio stakeholders to achievement of Suncorp Bank's strategic objectives
- Knows and clarifies what's expected, taking accountability to resolve problems and set high personal standards to deliver timely results in a changing environment
- Manages the quality of own data input and proactively helps identify risks and issues
- Undertakes and reports on the independent oversight activities with respect to lending portfolios and processes
- Provides oversight and challenge of lending product design and implementation processes. Identifies heightened lending product risks in a timely manner, ensuring they are being remediated and managed effectively
- Lead and develop the risk capability of others through effective advice, coaching and mentoring
What you'll bring- Tertiary qualification in a finance related discipline is highly desired
- Experience in either a Risk Oversight/management role or lending area
- Develop and maintain requisite level of knowledge on key industry issues, emerging trends, and market opportunities
- A good understanding of lending parameters including an ability to assess fundamental inherent risks
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze historical information and uncover trends and causes to enable emerging risks to be highlighted and inform decision making.
