The role
Provide first line of defence (1A) Risk and Compliance Advisory and management support, to our Bank CFO and other Bank teams. Do this through embedding, challenging, guiding and testing risk, compliance and governance practices, particularly in relation to financial risk (counterparty, market, liquidity and asset and liability management).
This is a 12 month secondment opportunity.
What you’ll do
- Drive a strong, proactive Risk and controls culture to deliver robust and consistent risk frameworks and a mature Risk and Compliance culture across the area
- Build and utilise knowledge of regulatory guidance, industry practices and Risk and Compliance
- Implement various Policies, Standards, Frameworks and Guidelines into efficient and pragmatic processes to utilise in effective management of Risk and Compliance
- Actively participate in the end to end project phases to assist in identifying, assessing and managing key delivery and delivered risks
- Be the first point of call for division related projects to assist the project team in navigating appropriate Risk, Compliance and Governance Subject Matter Experts to support in the effective identification and management of Risks through project delivery
- Support management and governance of incidents through to resolution. Advise on Root Causes and appropriate steps and governance to prevent re-occurrence
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary Qualifications in a business-related discipline is highly desirable
- Strong preference for 3 years’ experience in a product or financial management environment
- Demonstrated experience in understanding and interpreting complex Standards, Policies and Frameworks
- Experience in participation and/or delivery of projects
- Good understanding of risk, regulation and legislation related to an ADI
- Sound knowledge of financial risk (e.g. liquidity, interest rate risk, capital management)
