Business Credit NSW is a decisioning team that decisions loan applications for customers with total commercial credit facilities of between $3m and $10m (plus related consumer facilities) of all industries and complexity and engages primarily with the Business and Commercial Banking teams within NSW and their customers.
Your Impact:
In your role as a Risk Executive, you will provide all aspects of credit risk services including advisory, credit decisions and recommendation of applications beyond approval levels, annual reviews and non-monetary credit decisions.
You must be able to work efficiently, be willing to back your own judgement and when appropriate, effectively and constructively challenge the business.
Other responsibilities include:
- Participates in monitoring credit risk to ensure that they are within limit thresholds;
- Supports senior managers in establishing industry risk appetite and developing risk management standards that are consistent with industry best practice;
- Applies sound understanding of business and corporate lending products and strategies and policies;
- Communicates results and analysis of credit risks to management and key internal stakeholders and actions those with the business unit; and
- Provides guidance and challenge to business partners, customers and stakeholders including client engagement.
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
- Solid experience in a credit risk position, including exercising a delegation, with a proven ability to provide sound, commercial and consistent risk decisions that are in the customers' best interest;
- Ability to work autonomously with absolute integrity and as part of a broader team;
- Graduate or postgraduate degrees in Business, Finance or related field;
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and negotiating skills; and
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. Finsia, CPA) or studying towards completion.
