Title: Risk Manager - EWIS Joint & Air
The Company

The Role
The Risk Manager is accountable under the Outcomes-based Contracting (OBC) arrangement to perform and achieve project risk management activities across EWIS-JA acquisition and sustainment projects.
The Risk Manager will be responsible for proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across EWIS-JA. The Risk Manager is to work collaboratively with CoA leadership to develop and implement effective risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and will be responsible for communicating risk assessments and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will be able to:
Implement the CASG risk management framework into the risk management practices of each of the EWIS-JA project and sustainment areas.
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify, analyse, and prioritise potential threats to the project and SPO, including financial, operational, safety, legal, and reputational risks.
Quantify risks using established CASG methodologies and present risk assessments to leadership and key stakeholders using Defence IT systems (i.e. Predict and PPRIP)
Develop and implement mitigation plans to address identified risks, including controls, contingency plans, and insurance coverage.
Monitor and track the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies and propose updates as needed.
Support the Quality Assurance Manager in conducting internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance with risk management policies and procedures.
Stay informed on current risk management trends and best practices.
Maintain accurate and complete risk management documentation.
Collaborate effectively with all levels of management and teams across the SPO.
Communicate risk information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Act with a high degree of autonomy and maturity with personal accountability.
Proactively be aware of and address all health and safety considerations.
Required Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge:
Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Finance, Engineering, Project Management or similar qualifications
Eligible for Eligible for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Eligible to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance, NV1 or greater.
Demonstrated experience in conducting risk assessments, developing mitigation plans, and implementing risk management frameworks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Defence risk management software and tools.
