ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Carry out maintenance on the Council's Civil Infrastructure, specifically the roads and drains.
- Carry out duties and ensure that work complies with safe work practices, policies, and procedures pertinent to the task at hand.
- Maintaining the Council's Civil Infrastructure, in particular roads and drains, following safe work practices, regulations, and procedures.
- Operating specialized plant, performing labor duties, and addressing routine problems.
- In charge of keeping records and supplying relevant information, which includes using a hand-held computer.
- Promote the Council's favorable image through excellent personal presentation and effective service delivery.
- Training is offered as needed, and other staff are guided and trained on the job.
- Emergency management activities are also performed, and the worker must be able to collaborate in a team setting to reach team and corporate goals.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Must have a Current Victorian MR/HR Drivers Licence
- Certificate of competency for a relevant item of plant
- Experience in operating a range of Roads & Drains plant and equipment in Civil works or Road works.
