Job Title: Road Sweeper Operator
Location: Mundaring
Salary: $46.71 + pens as appropriate
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Road Sweeper Operator to join our clients team in Mundaring.
Key Responsibilities:
· Operate Road Sweeper and equipment to ensure roads are swept and gullies are maintained in accordance with maintenance programs.
· Maintain and operate a range of mechanical plant and heavy vehicles safely.
· Prioritise work effectively to achieve desired outcomes.
· Work independently, unsupervised, and collaboratively as part of a team.
· Adhere to safe work practices and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment when required.
Skills and Abilities:
Essential:
· Ability to operate and maintain a range of mechanical plant and heavy vehicles safely.
· Advanced skills in the operation and maintenance of a Road Sweeper.
· Ability to prioritize work effectively to achieve outcomes.
· Demonstrated ability to work independently, unsupervised, and as part of a team.
· Proficiency in adopting safe work practices and operations, utilizing correct personal protective equipment when required.
Desirable:
· Experience in road maintenance operations.
· Familiarity with Shire and community regulations.
· Knowledge of maintenance requirements of road plant.
Knowledge:
· Comprehensive knowledge of truck operating procedures.
· Sound understanding of current safety practices.
· Working knowledge of Shire and community regulations.
· Familiarity with maintenance requirements of road plant.
Experience:
At least five (5) years’ experience operating HR Class trucks in a Civils environment with a strong willingness to learn or experience as a Road Sweeper Operator.
Training/Qualifications:
· Competency Certificate – Road Sweeper OR (Willingness to obtain)
· Basic Worksite Traffic Management and Traffic Controllers certificates.
· White Card
· Workplace First Aid certificate (Willingness to obtain)
You will need a Current WA “HR” Class Driver’s licence or equivalent and the ability to work outside normal working hours (public holidays and weekends) and available for emergency call-outs.
