Our Client is a fast-growing and well known company delivering exceptional stonemasonry to Canberra and its surrounding regions. The Company brings nearly a century’s worth of Irish stonemasonry heritage to the Australian landscape. They pride themselves on meticulous craftsmanship, ensuring each piece is not only aesthetically pleasing but built to last, enhancing the value and beauty of homes and businesses alike.

LOCATION:  Canberra, ACT 
SHIFT SCHEDULE:  Mondays to Fridays 07:00 am to 04:30 pm  

ROLE OVERVIEW: Due to growing need, we are in search of dedicated Stonemasons to join the team. The role involves meticulously crafting natural stone into bespoke, functional installations for both residential and commercial properties. Leveraging a blend of traditional and innovative techniques, you will create a diverse range of stone features, from elegant cladding and cosy fireplaces to robust outdoor enhancements and structural retaining walls.

ROCK WALL BUILDER/ STONEMASON RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Expertly construct and install various stone structures, including but not limited to traditional and bookleaf stone walls, pathways, fireplaces and pool surroundings.
• Execute stone flagging, paving, and pitching tasks with precision and stability.
• Conduct restoration and repair works on existing stonework.
• Engage in projects requiring a variety of stones like sandstone, limestone, fieldstone, slate, and other stones. 
• Comply with all safety and quality regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:  

• Documented experience in rock wall building with a portfolio showcasing previous projects.
• Adept in various stone masonry techniques and familiar with different stone materials.
• Proficient in reading architectural designs and blueprints.
• Keen eye for detail with a dedication to craftsmanship and excellence.
• Physical ability to manage heavy materials and work in various conditions.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Real passion for stone.

REMUNERATION:  

• $50 – $60 per hour plus super
