Rostering Officer - Role Summary
The Rostering Officer supports the OOHC and NDIS operational areas within ICCare by rostering Youth Workers and Disability Support Workers to shifts based on the needs of our Participants and Children and Young People. The Rostering Officer ensures that rosters are managed in a compliant, safe and efficient manner.
In collaboration with the Operational teams, the Rostering Officer designs and maintains stable and consistent rosters for frontline staff, Participants, Children and Young People.
The Role includes:
- Create and manage master rosters and coordinate day to day rostering requirements across sites
- Directing and allocating resources as directed by the Area Operations Managers
- Escalating any shifts that are unable to be filled and /or issues within appropriated time frames
- Ensuring the information in the ICCARE's Rostering System is accurate and up to date at all times
This position is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award.

What you need to be successful
- A kind person with excellent, effective communication skills
- Vast experience previously in this or a similar role
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Dedication to the management of overtime
- A creative thinker who can look outside the square at a moment's notice
- Knowledge of the rostering principles in the Social, Community, Home Care and Disabilty Service Industry Award 2010
- Proficient in at least one Human Resources Information System and Microsoft Outlook, Work and Excel
- Broad knowledge of workplace health and safety as it relates to fatigue management
- Values teamwork and tackles change with positive attitude
