Position: Roster/Administration Assistant
Location: Ballarat, Victoria

Role Overview: As a Roster/Administration Assistant at Calacare, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient scheduling of support staff to meet the needs of our participants. You will be responsible for managing rosters, coordinating staff schedules, and optimizing resource allocation to ensure the delivery of exceptional care and support services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain rosters for support staff, ensuring adequate coverage to meet participant needs.
- Coordinate and communicate with support staff to confirm shifts, manage availability, and handle any roster changes or adjustments.
- Collaborate with management and team members to optimize rostering processes and address any scheduling conflicts or challenges.
- Monitor and track staff attendance, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Liaise with participants and their families to gather scheduling preferences and ensure their needs are met effectively.
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of support staff as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to rostering activities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in roster coordination, scheduling, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing rosters and scheduling information.
- Proficiency in using rostering software or scheduling systems is desirable.
- A commitment to providing person-centered care and support to individuals with disabilities.
- Certificates in the disability and/or community service sector or related field would be highly regarded
- Knowledge and deep understanding of the Social Community Home Care and Disability Services Award (Award).
- Current Police check
- Working with children check
- First Aid/CPR
