ROLE
As a Ruby developer you will design, implement and maintain software applications using Ruby, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to web development projects with a focus on efficiency and maintainability.
This role can be performed remotely across Australia, but a preference will be given to those applicants that can occasionally come to the Canberra office for meetings.
YOU
- Australian Citizen or valid working visa
- Experience in developing online interfaces using the Rails framework
- Technical skills in Rails, Ruby, Postgresql, JQuery, Bootstrap, Minitest, Git, AWS hosting, and Jenkins
- Ability to work effectively in a small team, with strong communication skills for code discussion
- Experience or interest in biological taxonomy data, following ICN and ICZN
