Role Overview
The People & Culture Manager will play a pivotal role in nurturing a collaborative, flexible, and supportive culture within the group, fostering genuine opportunities for employees' growth and development. With a keen focus on organisational advancement, the goal is to harness the teams’ collective strengths across the business.
In this capacity, the PCM serves as a trusted partner to the team, overseeing various initiatives including:
- Collaborating with Executives and Managers to identify and fulfill strategic staffing needs, enhancing organizational structure, capacity and skill sets.
- Working with external suppliers to access specific P&C skills to meet specific business needs.
- Attract and retain talent through a considered and targeted Rem & Reward policy.
- Supporting a collaborative and outcomes focused culture through sustaining effective people and knowledge sharing ceremonies across the business.
- Facilitating personal growth through development initiatives targeted at individuals and cohorts across the business to ensure ongoing skills development align with role progression.
- Supporting a regular feedback mechanism such as “1 on 1’s” and semi-annual performance appraisal processes.
- Conducting career planning sessions with team members to foster progression and retention.
- Developing, maintaining, and disseminating people-related policies and procedures through HRIS (i.e. SharePoint and Employment Hero).
About you
As an experienced people professional, you will have worked in other growth / scale up organisations or progressed your career across different facets of the HR spectrum and are now looking to progress your career. You thrive on the challenge of working with people during a time of organisational change and growth, not afraid to bring your ideas to the table.
In your career to date, you will be able to point to a track record of:
- A willingness to stretch and adapt to meet the needs of the team and the business.
- 5+ years’ experience, preferably with sector relevant companies (i.e., finance, technology or professional services) in either internal or advisory / agency roles.
- A proactive attitude and a desire to take on new challenges.
- A passion for evolving and supporting people and leaders to develop.
- Understanding of organisational design, career development, succession planning and talent development to align the business for success.
As an established HR practitioner, it is desirable that you will be:
- Degree qualified Human Resource Management or an equivalent / relevant business / psychology discipline.
- Proficiency in utilising DISC or comparable behavioural models to cultivate high-performing teams.
- Familiarity with Employment Hero and Slack would also be advantageous.
