Safe Communities Project AdvisorPeople and Culture

  • Continuing, full-time
  • $ 92,970 to $ 104,094 per annum (HEO7)
  • Plus 17% employer superannuation
  • Salary packaging options are available
  • 5 weeks annual leave plus Christmas week shutdown, per annum
  • Based at Armidale campus with hybrid working arrangement available

Additionally, you will be committed to achieving the goals embedded in the Future Fit Strategic Plan Future Fit 2021-2030: Personalised Learning Journeys, Empowering Communities, and Building Resilience.About the roleReporting to the Senior Program Manager, Safe Communities, People and Culture, the Safe Communities Project Advisor provides operational support for the management of UNE's Safe Communities Program, which is the university-wide commitment to an inclusive, safe and respectful environment for all members of our community. This involves engagement with UNE stakeholders to provide guidance, coordination, practical recommendations and operational assistance in relation to Safe Communities Framework to address and prevent sexual harm, workplace violence, gender-based violence, technology facilitated abuse and child safety.About youIn additional to a relevant degree and/or experience in primary prevention and community safety, the successful applicant for this role will have in depth knowledge of the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012 (NSW) and the Children's Guardian Act 2019 (NSW).They will also possess excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, project coordination, organisational and analytical skills, along with the ability to problem solve effectively and interpret and apply complex rules, procedures, policies and legislation in a large and organisational environment.About People and CultureThe People and Culture Directorate provides various services across the University such as Recruitment; Workplace Relations; Health and Safety; Payroll, Benefits, and Support; Organisational Development; and Workforce Planning and Change Management.
