Your day as a Senior Project Advisor
As aSenior Project Advisor, you will support and implement the delivery of a range of FSPR key strategic priorities and projects.
You will manage and oversee all aspects of project planning, development and implementation for a range of financial management projects, including developing project plans, coordination, assisting resolve complex Total State Accounting issues and support project-related activities to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, to quality standard within the agreed scope.
You will be responsible for developing strong stakeholder engagement, including project managing related initiatives, within Treasury and with other government agencies to improve the quality and performance of public sector financial management and capability.
This role liaises extensively with other areas within Treasury, with NSW government agencies and equivalents in other jurisdictions across Australia, and with external stakeholders.
Achieve success as a Senior Project Advisor
In this integral role there are a few things we would like for you to have to best support yourself and add value to the people of NSW.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
- Demonstrated experience in delivering projects within strict deadlines with often competing priorities
- Outstanding organisational skills and excellent stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to work under pressure and work in a team delivering outcomes to tight deadline
- Ability to work unsupervised, using initiative and with the ability to make decisions
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Experience providing support for high level meetings including with senior management in a large organisation
- Demonstrated research, analytical, conceptual and strategic thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret accounting, financial and performance information
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Finance/Accounting or relevant discipline. CA or CPA accreditation is preferable.
