What you'll be doing
The Administrative Officer provides administration and clerical support, including the management of the hospital switchboard which to support quality communication across the facility.
Selection Criteria * Ability to work effectively in a high volume work area, whilst managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with a wide variety of people, both internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated competence in computing and computer software packages including Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) with a willingness to acquire new skills as required.
- Support the manager and team with quality activities to ensure ongoing improvement.
- Understanding and commitment to providing excellent customer service, whilst maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Ability to exercise flexibility and remain composed in extreme/emergency circumstances.
- Motivated and able to take initiative within the bounds of a work role and capacity to work with minimal direct supervision.
- 8 Evidence of a current unrestricted driver's licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive . All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
