Safety and Health Advisor with road construction or maintenance experience required to join Ventia's Road Transport Operations Unit based in Stapylton QLD.

In this role you will monitor field operations and provide support, assistance and advice in relation to SHEQ management, ensuring compliance with all internal and external requirements.
Your duties will include:
- Daily site visits - contractor management, work observations, toolboxes and pre starts
- Risk management - perform risk assessments (plant, plant personnel and chemicals), swms and updating documentation.
- Audits and inspections, rectifying non compliances
- Coordinate training, equipment testing and tagging
- Preparing safety related correspondence, attending meetings, reporting (internal and external)
- Building effective stakeholder relationships
Sound industry experience will see you succeed in this role, along with a strong safety culture, superior stakeholder engagement and focus with an aptitude for environmental responsibilities and sustainability.
- Cert IV Workplace Health and Safety
- Cert IV Training and Assessment - desirable
- ICAM trained - desirable
- Auditor qualification
- Traffic Management Accreditation (QLD)
- Construction white card
- Valid driver licence
- Sound knowledge of regulatory guidelines within civil construction industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
