Our Facilities Maintenance team provide planned and responsive maintenance, emergency repairs, disability modification upgrades, vacant restorations, property surveys, demolition, asbestos removal, and construction services throughout New South Wales, South Australia and Tasmania.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated Safety and Quality Manager to join our Facilities Maintenance team based in our Glenorchy office.
As the Safety and Quality Manager you will lead the Compliance Team to manage our Safety and Quality obligations and ensuring our client’s, contract, and regulatory compliance is met while implementing risk mitigation or management as required. The Safety and Quality Manager will develop and implement compliance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure that the organisation operates in a legal and ethical manner.
This role is ideally suited to a candidate with a formal qualification in Building & Construction, Work Health and Safety, or a domestic trade qualification, with demonstrated leadership skills and experience, the ability to understand and apply relevant Acts, legislation, regulations, policies and standards, and experience in maintenance and construction, who would like to advance their career.
Standard working weeks are 40 hours Monday to Friday.
This is a fast-paced role, that involves travel to various sites throughout region, with no two days being the same and is providing an essential service to the local community.
About You:
The successful candidate will demonstrate a detailed understanding of the residential building industry and have demonstrated experience and competency in the implementation and evaluation of safety,
environmental and Quality systems to ensure compliance with legislation and regulations.
With multiple projects on the go at any one time, you will thrive working in a fast-paced environment, with excellent attention to detail and be adept at managing multiple competing demands. You will be a strong communicator (both written and verbal) and possess the people skills required to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Working closely with our operations team, subcontractors and clients, you will be an effective collaborator, whilst also being highly autonomous to manage works without direction or supervision.
All work is allocated and signed off via software, with a sound level of computer skills being required.
Essential Requirements:

- Working With Vulnerable People Card (Employee)
- Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Formal qualification in Building & Construction OR Work Health and Safety OR A Domestic Trade certification.
