Safety Coordinator - Night Shift

About Us: Our client is a leading tier 1 national contractor, specializing in large-scale construction and remediation projects. Their team is dedicated to delivering high-quality workmanship and ensuring the safety of all personnel involved in our projects.
Job Description: We are currently seeking a Safety Advisor to join our cleitns team in Adelaide for a 6-month initial assignment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing safety procedures and protocols for remediation works on concrete, gantries, and guard rails on an existing bridge. The majority of the work will be conducted during Night Shifts, with occasional daytime work required.
Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Develop and implement safety plans and procedures
• Conduct safety training for site personnel
• Investigate incidents and near misses, and implement corrective actions
• Liaise with project managers and site supervisors to address safety concerns
• Keep up-to-date with relevant safety legislation and industry standards

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Safety Advisor or similar role in the construction industry
• Sound knowledge of safety regulations and standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (desirable)
