Due to the continued growth of the business, our client is seeking expressions of interest for an experienced Safety professional to join our team. You will be starting with the team on a contractual basis to cover leave with the goal of moving into a permanent role.
Reporting to the National Safety Manager, you will be responsible for two facilities in the Sunshine Coast region. The position will suit a person living from the Northern suburbs of Brisbane through to Maroochydore.
Key Duties and responsibilities include but are not restricted to:
- Advise & coach operational managers, supervisors and workers in regard to achieving compliance and best practice for WHS.
- Complete all onboarding and training of new staff in relation to safety.
- Complete daily observations and checklists across operations of re-lining and wet hire business
- Take charge of all incident related matters, through to resolution
- Manage all ICAM investigations and reporting
- Assist in the implementation of best practice WHS, workers’ compensation and injury management systems to continually improve current and future performance
Preferred skills & experience
- WHS qualifications at Diploma level
- Prior experience in a Tier 1 or 2 construction environment
- Current and valid drivers licence
- The ability to hit the ground running, providing WHS support and direction to all staff and management
