About the Role:
The Safety Systems Coordinator will be a pivotal force in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment at Redland. In this newly created and dynamic role, the Safety Systems Coordinator will review and update safety documents, including procedures, policies, and safe work practices. Responsibilities will include conducting thorough audits and inspections to ensure adherence to relevant regulations and safety standards. Additionally, the successful applicant will develop, coach, and mentor managers and staff in Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), using positive reinforcement techniques to foster a culture of safety.
The Safety Systems Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of the Redland Operations safety plan and assisting in the development and delivery of comprehensive safety training programs. Reporting directly to the Group Safety Manager, you will also have the opportunity to develop your safety skills and knowledge acting as second in charge as directed to support our safety initiatives. This role will include ad hoc travel to Redland sites, so the successful candidate must have the ability to travel interstate on occasion.
This role is suited to candidates with a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, and applicants with Certificate IV in Training and Assessment are highly regarded. Successful candidates will have extensive knowledge of legislative requirements across multiple states and territories and at least three years of experience managing a safety management system. Your exceptional communication and influencing skills, combined with your organisational abilities and flexibility, will make you an ideal fit for this role. Proficiency in project management, database management, and online safety reporting systems is essential.
