Safety Health & Wellbeing Advisor

Job Description:

Working with our client Main Roads WA in Albany, we have an opportunity for a Safety Health & Wellbeing Advisor for a 12 month fixed term contract. The role is offered as a residential opportunity with a balanced mix of office and site based work.

This position will see you involved in the following activities:

• Deliver safety awareness inductions and other specific safety related training (as needed)
• Support and mentor regional staff in safety policy and practices
• Hazard Identification and Risk Management
• Review third-party safety management plans, practices and documentation.
• Records management using MRWA systems and software including TRIM, INX (EQSafe) and Risk Management protocols/guidelines
• Undertake site inspections and audits
• Site investigations and reports with regards to incident management

What would you bring to the team?

• Site experience in construction and/or maintenance activities
• Formal Safety experience
• Sound understanding of the Worksafe regulations
• Training of safety quality systems
• Mentoring and coaching experience

The following qualifications/ tickets would be highly regarded:

• Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
• Internal Auditor
• Alcohol & Drug Testing
• Lead ICAM
