What you'll do
This is an exciting time to join the new team at our new automated DC at Moorebank which will “go live” late 2024. Paramount to this will be setting up the Safety, Health and Wellbeing Plan across the two DC's on this site in preparation for launch day and thereafter. This role is key during the transition phase and will be heavily involved in a multitude of transitional activities including training, onboarding, testing and development of SOP and continuous improvement programs.
There is lots to do as we ready to go live including:
- Deliver the SH&W plan for enabling the safe launch of MONDC and MORDC and continuous improvement of systems, processes, tools, and site ownership of SH&W pre and post-launch.
- Develop specific safety and risk systems and plans as they relate to an automation site
- Complete pre-launch and post-launch activities such as risk assessments, training, inspections, audits, checks, coaching
- Drive a strong SH & W focus across the operational and functional teams where needed improve SH&W performance for the successful and safe delivery of business objectives
- Provide and maintain the components of Woolworths SH&W integrated management system that relate to the WX automation risk profile
- Lead or oversee SH&W incident & emergency management, along with investigations into health & safety events
- Ensure SH&W incidents, hazards, near misses are reported and managed in line with Woolworths requirements
- Being an agile organisation, the responsibilities will change &/or evolve to support the Woolworths Strategy
As a newly created role for our Automated Moorebank DC's your skills set will be broad from developing fit-for-purpose processes and tools to facilitating operational risk assessments ranging from hazardous materials, powered industrial equipment (E.g. MHE, forklifts) manual handling, etc
This combined with :
- Managing functional safety plant and equipment (familiar with AS4024 & ISO standards
- Regulatory and Contractor Safety -compliance and system requirement Investigation:
- Incident Investigation - ICAM or equivalent together with the ability to lead and deliver quantitative risk assessments
- Analysing & Interpreting data and other insights and storytelling to enable meaningful engagements and continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain strong positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders including operations, contractors and consultants
- Consult and lead proactive, innovative solutions to deliver best practice outcomes
- Lead and ensure consistent implementation of the Primary Connect risk management program (Hazard and Effects Management Process)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
