AddressTasmanian Oyster Co (TOC for short) is committed to being the leader in sustainable oyster production, striving for best practice and continuous improvement in the management of the environment in which we operate.
Our People & Safety team is growing! After one person in our team scored an internal promotion and is moving to our Operations team, we've taken the opportunity to restructure and create this new role of Safety & Training Coordinator.
The role
In this role, you will help us maintain safe and efficient operations across all our sites (Tasmania, South Australia and New South Wales). Specifically, you will:
- Ensure aspects of our Safety Management System (SMS) are adhered to, by organising necessary activities, reporting on compliance status, and following up to ensure requirements are met.
- Coordinate Workers Compensation claims and return to work plans.
- Organise and manage internal and external training programs, including developing and updating internal training content for different delivery methods.
- Keep track of employee and contractor licenses and certifications.
- Assist in planning and executing team and business-wide events.
- Provide general administrative support, including ordering supplies and managing security registers.
- Assist with safety meetings and various projects as needed.
Our office is currently based in Clifton Beach.
About you
- Experience in safety, training, or compliance roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with Workers Compensation claims or injury management is a plus.
- A collaborative team player with strong organisational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other software packages.
- Excellent communication skills and a values-driven mindset.
- Willingness to travel to sites occasionally (intra- and inter-state)
