An exciting opportunity exists for a Work Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team based at the Nichols Poultry site in Sassafras in North West Tasmania.
The Work Health & Safety Coordinator leads the WHS culture for Nichols Poultry to ensure the safety systems and processes of the business are user friendly, consistent and robust and that the people operating within and around the business are adhering to the requirements of the systems and processes.
The successful applicant will possess:
- a strong understanding of the WHS legislative framework in Tasmania.
- the ability to develop and implement a safety management system.
- high levels of verbal and written communication skills.
- strong leadership, team-building and decision making skills.
- ability to negotiate, coordinate and coach managers and employees on effective safety performance outcomes.
- strategic planning and policy and procedure development experience.
