What you’ll be doing

Virgin Australia Regional Airline (VARA) operates our of Perth Airport and has a fleet of F100 aircrafts and A320 aircraft that predominantly conduct charter operations to regional Western Australia.

As the Safety, Quality and Training Coordinator you will be required to support the Safety and Quality team within the Approved Maintenance Organisation. You will be coordinating and administering safety, quality and training functions including monitoring and reporting of safety and quality data, competency management, and compliance related activities. This role provides operational assistance to workers and managers in the management of WHS and prevention of workplace accidents and injuries. Another part of the role will be the administering of the Safety and Quality Management Systems to ensure all system documents are current and are in use to ensure compliance is met.

You’ll be great in this role if you…

  • Are proficient in extracting and analysing data as well as the ability to create performance reports in a format that can be presented to stakeholders
  • Intermediate level of experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook and software in general
  • Safety & Quality experience within an airline safety, engineering or operations environment would be desirable but not essential
  • An understanding of training competencies
  • Have excellent communication skills within all levels of the organisation
  • Can demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively across divisions to achieve desired results
  • Are able to showcase your attention to detail in providing results and the ability to prioritise work and deliver output.
