Qualifications & experience

• Hold a tertiary qualification in Work Health Safety (WHS) or equivalent field of study
• Minimum of three years specialist experience in WHS
• Solid knowledge of WHS and Injury Management legislation, policies, processes and industry best practices
• Experience with regulators, audits and WHS requirements.
• Highly developed communication skills both verbal and written.
• Capacity to work autonomously with self-direction and also effectively as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to project manage, prioritise tasks, generate reports, meet deadlines.
• Having a “Can Do” attitude.

Tasks & responsibilities

• WHS administration support (group email and actions) and information flow for daily activities.
• Provide expert advice and ensure that all work practices are in accordance with Company policy and Workplace Health & Safety regulations (QLD, NT & WA).
• Maintaining various WHS registers.
• Assist with Incident investigations as required.
• Assist in maintaining the safety audit programs
• Regularly review the safety management system and develop and recommend updates.
• Compile and report information for ad hoc reports and end of month.
• Coordinate the Contractor Management System (RAPID) and ensure compliance.
• Provide general WHS advice to stakeholders across the business.
