The Role
You will be responsible for responding to inbound Salary Packaging enquiries, providing consultations and quotes to existing and potential customers for a range of living expense fringe benefits, educating customers on Salary Packaging procedures and liaising with internal administration staff on the setup and management of client Salary Packaging arrangements.
In this role you will be expected to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with customers and suppliers. A genuine interest in customer service and sales is essential.
Your core duties will include:
- Responding to inbound customer enquiries (no cold calling)
- Conducting individual client consultations
- Identifying client needs and outlining the available products/services to meet them
- Preparing and following up on quotes/tax analyses for clients
- Liaising on the setup and termination of client salary packages
- Handling enquiries for a range of living expense fringe benefit types (eg. mortgages, credit cards, meal entertainment, etc)
- Explaining to clients and payroll departments the correct procedures for dealing with payroll deductions, GST statements and FBT reports
The role is Monday to Friday (full time).
Training and Development
Extensive training and development will be provided with financial incentives given upon achievement of training milestones.
We actively encourage and support professional development activities to help you build a long and rewarding career with The Southgate Group. The training provided will develop your understanding of Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) and how it affects clients in the Private Sector, FBT Rebatable and FBT Exempt environments. You will develop an understanding of all fringe benefits available to be salary packaged.
During this role you will be given the opportunity to complete Certificate IV in Financial Services (Finance/Mortgage Broking) or Diploma in Financial Services. Strong performers will have advancement opportunity to become a Novated Lease Consultant expanding the range of fringe benefits you can consult on and increasing commission opportunities.

- A tertiary degree in a business-related field (eg. Accounting, Finance, Management, etc)
