A well-established company supplying a variety of Chemicals, Plastics, Raw Materials, and specialty products across different industries. This opportunity is within the Coatings, Industrial, and Plastics group, offering continuous growth in account management and new business development.
Primarypurpose
- Engage in sales and marketing duties to existing customers within the Industrial Chemicals, Construction, Coatings and Plastics sectors.
- Meet / exceed allocated sales and profit margin budgets for your particular customer portfolio over the designated budget period and achieve cost reductions wherever possible.
- Build customer relationships to increase share of existing customer business and win new customers for your portfolio.
- Promote existing range of products to customer base and work to develop and introduce additional products to our range.
- Make regular contact with customers (face-to-face, phone, email etc.) and provide progress reports on an ongoing basis.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Industry Experience: Must have experience in surface coatings, construction, plastics, cleaning chemicals, water treatment, and mining.
- Sales Experience: Minimum of three years’ experience in sales, preferably in Industrial Chemicals, surface coatings, construction chemicals, plastics, industrial and institutional cleaning, or water treatment.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Mindset and Attitude: An analytical and commercial mindset with a proactive approach to customer service.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail.
- Time Management: Efficient time management skills.
- Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work independently as well as effectively in a team.
- Technical Skills: Strong IT skills, including proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Educational Background: Tertiary qualifications in Sciences, Chemistry, or Business are advantageous.
- Travel Requirements: Must be able to travel nationally and locally for work when required
