Our client, a leading Japanese trading company is seeking a Sales and Trade Assistant. This position will suit for an individual with strong interest in international business. We are seeking for a candidate who is keen to progress from Sales/Trade Assistant into a Sales/Trade Manager in few years time.
Description
The key responsibilities and duties:
- Coordinate logistics between domestic and international suppliers and customers, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with international regulations.
- Liaise with custom brokers, quarantine, 3rd party warehouses and transportation companies.
- Assist with inventory management and order processing.
- Manage supply chain documentations such as shipping documents and import permits.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist in preparation of budget and sales forecast.
Profile
In order to be considered for this role you will have the following key attributes, skills and strengths:
- Tertiary or similar education in business, economics, or other similar fields.
- Experience in logistics or import/export/freight forwarding will be highly regarded.
- Work experience or knowledge in food, agriculture, steel or chemicals will be advantageous.
- Interest in Japanese language, business or culture will be advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with various stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
