Wagners Composite Fibre Technologies (CFT) is a world leader in the use and development of sophisticated composite engineering materials. Predominantly desk based in the CFT Office in Wellcamp, Toowoomba; this role works as a key collaborating member of the broader sales (and marketing) team. Responding to inbound sales enquiries, and engaging the estimating and field sales team as required, to make sure we are successful in winning custom build projects (e.g. Bridges, Boardwalks, Marine Structures, etc.) across Australia and New Zealand.
Responsibilities
- Routine prospecting of the existing databases via email, telephone and video conferencing.
- Generate high-quality leads through various channels, including online research, social media, and industry events.
- Collaborate with marketing team to optimize lead-generation efforts.
- Maintain and build relationships with key stakeholders from LGA’s, asset owners, engineers, and contractors to generate new business for Wagners CFT.
- Act as a point of contact for client inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Provide compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the needs of potential clients.
- Work closely with the broader sales team to ensure seamless handover of qualified leads.
- Working with the Sales Manager, implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales efforts with overall business goals.
- Manage and prioritize the sales pipeline to maximize conversion rates.
- Utilize CRM tools (HubSpot) to track and report on sales activities and performance metrics.
- Work closely with internal teams, including the Sales team, Marketing, Estimators, Design, R&D, to ensure a unified approach to business development.
- Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to explore mutually beneficial opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with the team of field Business Development Managers to win opportunities.
- Work with the Sales team to analyse competitor activities and market conditions to formulate effective business strategies.
Skills and Experience / Qualifications
- Whilst a tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related field would be viewed favourably, it is not essential.
- Proven track record in Sales and achieving KPI’s
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly proficient in using CRM software and other relevant tools.
- Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong customer focus.
- Understanding of the civil construction market is preferable.
- Familiarity with current business trends and emerging technologies.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Flexibility to adjust strategies based on market changes.
