Objective of the Role
The Sales Executive – Race Day holds a pivotal role within the organisation, with a primary focus on driving sales for race day events at the Cranbourne Pakenham Racing Club's two racecourses. Working closely with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), this role is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service to our expanding clientele. The primary objective is to drive sales for race day events, alongside actively expanding our customer database and cultivating new business relationships as opportunities arise.
Functional Area & Key Accountabilities
- Collaborate with the CMO to develop targeted sales strategies and campaigns for race day functions, aligning with the Club's overall marketing objectives.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential leads and market trends, providing valuable insights for sales planning.
- Actively engage in networking events, industry conferences, and trade shows to expand the Club's reach and establish new business relationships.
- Customise sales pitches and proposals to meet the specific needs and preferences of prospective clients, showcasing the unique offerings and assets of the Club.
- Implement follow-up strategies to nurture leads and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for clients throughout the sales process.
- Monitor competitors' activities and pricing strategies, adjusting sales tactics accordingly to maintain competitiveness and maximise revenue opportunities.
- Execute the sales action plans prepared by the team to drive new business.
- Generate new leads and opportunities.
- Explore opportunities to leverage the Club's assets and facilities to attract new events and activities.
- Coordinate with the CMO to ensure alignment between Sales & Marketing departments.
- Ensure that all Club information is up to date and accurate regarding sales information, including websites, brochures, and other promotional material.
- Provide regular sales updates to the team as required.
- Utilise the Club’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to maintain the Club’s growing customer database and maximise the use of that data to deliver increased sales across the business.
- Deliver a high level of customer service to clients by providing timely and accurate responses to customer enquiries.
- Efficiently manage and oversee the online ticketing process for race day events, ensuring seamless transactions, accurate data collection, and a user-friendly experience for customers.
- Provide administration support to the organisation, including phone and reception duties.
- Perform any other associated duties as directed by the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
