Travel Auctions is a South Australian family owned and operated company offering short-duration holiday packages throughout Australia since 1992. We have sent over a million Australian on short-stay holidays in cabins on the coast, B&B's in the outback, houseboats on the river and everything in between … all for the price they want to pay. And behind all those little (and big) wins, loyal operators, cheeky bids and much-needed breaks, is a family that has passed the baton on to the next generation and a 10+ strong team of passionate staff. It's like one big, extended family.
We have recently embarked on a new and exciting chapter in our long history; adding cruising, rail and touring, hotels and resorts, international travel and so much more to our already extensive inventory. With growth comes expansion and we are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team.
You
- Have a proven track record in cold-call sales; travel/hospitality desirable, not essential
- Have a good grasp of Australian geography
- Are mature, confident and have an excellent telephone manner
- Are able to build rapport with operators and associates
- Have knowledge of and are competent in computer use (ours is a bespoke, user-friendly system)
- Are able to learn and follow instructions, and work autonomously
The Job
- Liaise with new and existing operators throughout Australia with a view to promoting their property, i.e. hotel, motel, caravan park, houseboat, cottage, etcetera, via Travel Auctions' media and website
- Distribute marketing material and finalise documentation for the promotion
